Memorial Quilt Photo Gallery
This family wanted to remember their wife/mother in their own unique way. Instead of each getting the same design, they chose a layout that "spoke" to them. First time making multiple quilts using the same clothing but creating totally 3 different quilts. Loved how each came out and I am in love with the one with the rainbow triangles!
Remembering Gigi - This special lady loved the beach and her clothing reflected that. Such wonderful colors! The clothing used in these 3 beautiful quilts included sweaters, bathing suits, terrycloth, thermal, corduroy, denim, and a beach towel!
Tribute to a card playing man who loved his daughters. Card shapes are made from t-shirts then appliqued onto dress shirts. The inside border is made from polo shirts and pjs. The outside border was made from jeans. Quilted with a design called Deck of Cards.
New layout design available. This is called "Windows of my life". My client chose the quilting design to reflect her mother's love for the Lord.
Remembering Grandma - quilt made of loved one's collection of sweaters and animal print tops. Grandma's blanket was used for the backing.
My client wanted five quilts made with his late wife's clothing to gift to his granddaughters. Each quilt contained a photo of grandma and a photo of grandma with each granddaughter. Pictured are 3 of the 5 quilts created. I call this Grandma's Petals Collection.
This beautiful quilt spanned from my client's "coming home from the hospital" outfit with receiving blanket, thru her school years, honeymoon and then being a mom. Also includes an apron that belonged to a beloved aunt. From baby clothes to a corduroy jacket, all her memories are now preserved in a memory quilt to cherish.
Two quilts made from a gentleman's clothing...for his wife and daughter. My client came up with the poem on the label. There were so many button down shirts so I made an ornament ball of all the buttons and gifted my client with it. February 2017
"In Memory of Justin" - this quilt contained the clothing of a young man taken far too soon. It contains jeans, polos, fleece, tshirts, and a blanket. December 2016
"Best Mom & Grandmom in the World" - clothing belonged to a woman who fought a brave battle with breast cancer. The digital quilt design is the awareness ribbon. December 2016
This quilted wall hanging was made with clothing that ranged from 1965 - 2012. Center block is the client's Naval uniform from the 1960's made of wool and the upper right block is one of the very first Paramedic uniforms ever made! It was such a pleasure to make this memory quilt! Very unique materials and items included in this quilt. May 2016
"Remembering Emma" is a queen size quilt consisting of 128 bandanas that the client's dog, Emma, received when visiting the groomer. Emma was 15 when she passed in December 2015 and her owner wanted the bandanas turned into a memorial quilt to honor their 4 legged family member. The digital quilted paw prints look fantastic! Created - April 2016.
"Wrapped in Heavenly Hugs". This beautiful lap size memorial quilt was made with just 4 pieces of clothing belonging to a client's grandparents....her grandfather's black jacket & denim shirt and her grandmother's white nightgown & grey bathrobe. Such a loving tribute to her grandparents.
